We are so pleased that we contacted you 15 months ago to look after our property near to Orbec. We felt we needed someone to look after our home in Normandy. We gain peace of mind with your monthly visits and photos. You helped to find a great thatcher and we are so pleased with the results. You received new furniture and sold the old furniture. Sat down in Vermont something really appealed. You could not have been more helpful to be sure that we had all we needed. We decided to make an offer before visiting. It was accepted. So, we flew over, confident that the property would be as we expected. It was. In fact, better. The Compromis de Vente was signed, and you helped us along every step of the way. Just before Christmas we got the keys. The next exciting part of the journey commenced.

The property needed work. You helped to get artisans and even agreed to decorate the property to bring the property back from its’ neglection. Taking care and attention with bringing the features out of the property. You have continued to help us with our journey. We have peace of mind. Take in parcels, arrange jobs and artisans. Helped us source furnishings and recently a car.

I had engaged an agent to sell my property in October 2021. A good well known local agency. I was encouraged to expect a good price. Despite many viewings over 9 months and offer was elusive. By chance I was introduced to Peter. I decided that a private sale provided another option. I needed some help as I had moved abroad. Peter did everything on the ground. Two offers achieved. The final sale completed in March 2023. There were many things to do, clear the property, arrange grounds maintenance, organise quotes, vide maison, clear rubbish. Lots of things that I could not do. Manage the property, arrange tradesmen.

When I contacted you I was totally at a loss as to how to navigate the minefield of selling my property in France, especially when I lived in England. But you guided me every step of the way. From taking out an advertisement with French Properties Direct incorporating the photos you took, continuing to correspond directly with interested viewers, showing them round the property. I thought that would be the end of your involvement – but no. You corresponded with the Notaire’s office, organising a visit with the diagnostics engineer and even acting as my proxy for the initial meeting with the Notaire to save my making 2 trips to France. Finally you accompanied me for the final signing of the contract and even found an interpreter to ease the problems of my poor French. Ultimately you found me a trusted currency exchange company in England which enabled me to pay my sale money into my English bank account at a good rate.

Your help was inestimable and really far beyond what you charged me – so carefully costed at every stage. A simple ‘thank you’ doesn’t seem enough for all your work, but I can only say I couldn’t have done it without you!
